Privacy Policy for Workout Buddy

Workout Buddy ("the app") is developed by Venkat Chaitanya D. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Summary

Workout Buddy does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app works entirely offline.

Data storage

All information you enter into Workout Buddy — your profile (nickname, age, height, weight, gender), workout history, exercise logs, equipment preferences, and settings — is stored only on your device, in a local database. This data:

• Is never transmitted to any server (the app has no network/internet permission)
• Is never shared with the developer or any third party
• Is never used for advertising or analytics
• Is deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its storage

Third-party services

Workout Buddy does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The app's exercise library includes optional links to YouTube tutorial videos. Tapping one of these links opens the YouTube app or your web browser via your device's standard "open link" mechanism — Workout Buddy itself does not send any data to YouTube or Google, and you are subject to YouTube's own privacy policy only if you choose to tap a link and use YouTube directly.

Permissions

Workout Buddy requests the following device permissions, used only as described:

• Notifications: to show a notification when a rest or exercise timer finishes.
• Vibrate: to provide haptic feedback (e.g. when a set is completed or a timer ends).
• Schedule exact alarms: to ensure timer notifications fire precisely, even if the app is in the background.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data.

Children's privacy

Workout Buddy does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes (e.g. if a future version of the app adds optional cloud sync), this document will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
